What Chorby solves
Kids say they finished — but they didn’t
You need proof before credit, not another argument about whether the bed “counts.” Chorby lets you turn on optional photo proof for the tasks that need it: kids snap a photo when they mark those chores done; you approve or send it back — so “I finished!” isn’t the last word.
The problem
Kids aren’t always lying. Sometimes they rushed, skipped a step, or meant “mostly done.” From your side it feels the same: you walk into a half-made bed and restart the conversation. That loop is what burns parents out — not the chore itself.
A chart that only tracks checkmarks trusts the kid’s word. That works for some families. For a lot of us, it doesn’t. Competitor reviews hammer this theme: parents can’t tell if work actually happened, and they’re stuck inspecting rooms after every “done.”
What Chorby does
Optional photo proof and parent approval are included. Turn them on per task:
- Kid opens the chore, does the work, and snaps a photo if you required one.
- If approval is on, the chore sits pending until you approve or reject it.
- Only then does progress count toward allowance, Cash, Gems, or whatever you set up.
Proof and approvals are included with parent access — not a Premium unlock. They stay off until you turn them on for a task. If the photo doesn’t match the job, you reject it and they try again. No debate about whether they “technically” finished.
The chart, rewards, and allowance all sit on that same approve step: chore chart, allowance, rewards.
Who this is for
Parents tired of inspecting rooms after every “done,” and kids who do better when the bar is clear: show the work, get the credit.
Honest limit
Optional photo proof helps for visual chores (bed, dishes, trash). It won’t replace sitting with a younger kid on something you still need to teach. A photo can also be staged — you know your kids; reject what doesn’t look right.
